The Bučim porphyry Cu-Au deposit is situated in the westernmost part of the Serbo-Macedonian Massif, Republic of North Macedonia. The deposit is hosted by Precambrian gneisses with tectonically imbedded rare lenses of Palaeozoic amphibolites. The mineralization is spatially associated with intrusions of andesitic to trachyandesitic magmatic bodies. The geochemical signature of the intrusions and ...
    • Porphyry Cu mineralization related to the small Tertiary volcanic intrusions in the Bučim ore deposit, Eastern Macedonia

Serafimovski, Todor; Tasev, Goran; Strmic Palinkas, Sabina; Palinkas, Ladislav; Gjorgjiev, Lazar (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2016-02-29)
The paper presents data about the geology, geochemistry, structure, genesis and specific features of the Bučim porphyry Cu deposit which is actively mined in Macedonia. The porphyry mineralization (0.3 % Cu, 0.3-0.5 ppm Au) is spatially and temporarily associated with Tertiary subvolcanic intrusions of latitic and latitic-andesitic composition. The intrusions occurred during Oligo-Miocene time ...
    • The Role of Magmatic and Hydrothermal Fluids in the Formation of the Sasa Pb-Zn-Ag Skarn Deposit, Republic of Macedonia

The Sasa Pb-Zn-Ag deposit belongs to the group of distal base metal skarn deposits. The deposit is located within the Serbo-Macedonian massif, a metamorphosed crystalline terrain of Precambrian to Paleozoic age. The mineralization, hosted by Paleozoic marbles, shows a strong lithological control. It is spatially and temporally associated with the calc-alkaline to shoshonitic post-collisional magmatism ...
